Little snow in Athens ....(not much this time :( )

Snowing in Athens center is rare. Every winter most of us wish to see Athens in white for a while luck. Last time was February 2008 when everything was white a lots of snowing. Well this year snow appeared again but only for one day. Of course suburbs where more lucky than the center areas.
Here is the poor snowing in my neighborhood. It’s not much, i know, but at its better than nothing :p

I hope for better luck next winter...

Earthquake and tsunami in Japan. We all hope for quick recovery!

We all already know what happen to Japan. Videos and pictures all world saw are beyond imagination. The way Japan has trained and prepared its people and how the buildings are built is amazing and seminars to everyone. It’s really remarkable. Unfortunately the rage of nature is unbeatable most of the times. Tsunami is something that can't be stopped or handled. What we saw while the huge waves cover the city of Japan is unbelievable. Like a movie....that we all wish it was.... The sea smashed houses, carried boats, cars, structures, even whole houses. Three trains (with passengers) have been carried away and haven't been found yet....It was terrible.
At least 1,700 people were reported dead or missing following the earthquake and tsunami, Kyodo news agency said. Further shocks of up to 6.4 magnitude continued to strike the north-east a day and a half after the major quake.
In addition, Kyodo said, 9,500 people could not be contacted in Minami Sanriku in the northern prefecture of Miyagi, around half the population. Japanese broadcaster NHK said 2,700 homes had been destroyed in Arahama, in the same prefecture. Further north, the National Police Agency said 5,000 homes were under water in Rikuzen-Takata, Iwate prefecture. Survivors were reported to be clambering over uprooted trees and overturned cars to reach homes. Rail operators were also searching for four commuter trains that were travelling coastal lines in Miyagi and Iwate when the tsunami struck.
And if all these were not enough, a nuclear factory explodes spreading a fear of radioactivity. For now the spread is small and Japan's government announced that there is no need to fear and everything is under control.
Still, Japan continues to amaze us after hearing that most of their daily life is back to normal (as possible as that can be).
Most of the world is shocked and we all pray for Japanese people and hope for a quick recover. No one wants another Haiti.
We all wish life will be back to normal soon. And for all those who in peace... :(
